Actor Robert Downey Jr has confirmed that he will be working on a third movie in the 'Sherlock' film series before the end of 2016. He revealed that he has already been discussing the film with director Guy Ritchie. Downey Jr added that their busy schedules led to the delay as the last 'Sherlock' film was released in 2011.
Good news for Robert Downey Jr fans as you might finally get to see him as Sherlock again, thought not very soon. The actor and the movie’s director, Guy Ritchie will be starting work on a third movie in Sherlock series before the end of the year.
The film has been in the pipeline for nearly five years, reported Digital Spy.
“We’re talking about it right now. We can do some preliminary stuff,” Downey Jr told Shortlist - putting those fears at bay. If we could shoot it on Skype, we could have the whole (movie) done in a week.
“When we’re making those Sherlock movies, it is off the hook. (So) we’ll attempt to make one this year. It really is a big deal to go and do those movies. I’m tired all the time, but I’m so excited about it,” Downey Jr said.
The movie will be a follow-up to Ritchie’s 2009 Sherlock Holmes and 2011’s follow-up Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows.
