A 63-run stand between Ambati Rayudu and Krunal Pandya helped Mumbai Indians post 142/6. However, David Warner's classy innings guided Sunrisers Hyderabad to their first win of the season.

After being put in to bat, Mumbai Indians lost wickets at regular intervals but Ambati Rayudu's 54 and Krunal Pandya's unbeaten 49 helped the tourists post a fighting total. In reply, David Warner anchored the chase for Sunrisers Hyderabad with an unbeaten 90 and a cameo from Deepak Hooda towards the end helped the hosts win the match by seven wickets with 15 balls to spare.

23:30 hrs IST:   That's it. Thank you for joining us for today's match at Uppal. See you all tomorrow                             for the match between Kings XI Punjab and Kolkata Knight Riders.

David Warner (SRH skipper and Man of the Match):   "I asked the boys during the meetings to execute and back their plans. With two batsmen in, it looked like we could be chasing 160. The key thing today was the ball actually swung for 20 overs."

Rohit Sharma (MI skipper):   "When you get that sort of score, you can only hope that the bowlers deliver but you can't expect a lot from them. We have to step up as a batting unit. We need to see what we can do as a team."

23:14 hrs IST:      And that's the end of the match. Warner finishes off in style. Sunrisers Hyderabad                                defeat Mumbai Indians by 7 wickets to register their first win of the season. Warner                              remains unbeaten on 90.

23:12 hrs IST:     SIX! 8th one for Warner this season, the most by any player so far.

23:10 hrs IST:     Bumrah finishes the over with a short one. SRH now require 10 off 18 balls.

23:07 hrs IST:     SIX! Slower delivery from Bumrah and Warner just smokes it over long-on.

23:05 hrs IST:     SRH now require 21 off 24 balls.

23:02 hrs IST:     Consecutive boundaries from Deepak Hooda. SRH close in to the target.

22:57 hrs IST:     OUT! Amazing catch from Hardik Pandya. Back of the length delivery from
Southee, Morgan pulls it towards square leg, Pandya comes running in, dives and                                completes the catch. SRH now require 35 off 30 balls.

22:52 hrs IST:    FOUR! Bouncer from McClenaghan and Warner pulls it towards the fine-leg
boundary. SRH now require 44 off 36 balls.

22:47 hrs IST:    Fifty for David Warner. His 25th IPL fifty. Responsible innings by the southpaw!

22:43 hrs IST:    FOUR! Typical Morgan. Reverse-sweeps it towards third-man region. SRH now require 60 off 48 balls.

22:37 hrs IST:    OUT! Full and wide from Southee that just swings away, Henriques plays a loose drive but instead gets a thick outside edge.

!
That's it for the day. It was an entertaining innings from the Hyderabad captain, David Warner. Finally they opened their account tonight. Tomorrow we have a clash between Punjab and Kolkata in Mohali at 2000 IST. Do join us for the same. Till then, it's goodbye from us.
!
HYDERABAD CAPTAIN AND MAN OF THE MATCH, DAVID WARNER credits his bowlers as they restricted the opponent to a low total. Further says he has been playing his own game and did well tonight to take his team to victory. Continues saying that it was nice to see the ball swinging throughout the innings. Ends by saying they got tremendous support from the crowd and credits them for motivating.
!
MUMBAI CAPTAIN, ROHIT SHARMA says they scored less and cannot expect from the bowlers to keep on defending low totals. Adds that they did not do well with the bat and will come up as a team in their next match. Continues that it is important for a batsman to bat throughout and it is not happening. Further says despite winning only one match against Kolkata, it is too early to panic. Credits Tim Southee for bowling well for the team. Ends by saying that they have to bounce back with some team spirit.
!
None of the Mumbai bowlers were effective to defend the total except Tim Southee who was the pick of the bowlers as he bowled brilliantly and picked up three wickets in his spell. But it is a team game so every bowler needs to play their role perfectly if they want to win. Mumbai need to improve their performance, especially with the bat whereas Hyderabad will be riding high on confidence and will look to win their upcoming games. Presentation up next.
!
Mumbai on the other hand, succeeded to strike early but could not continue to upset the home side. Also, they missed out a couple of chances to dismiss the aggressive Warner as Rohit dropped him on 17 and Parthiv Patel missed a stumping chance when he was on 22.
!
When the hosts came out to chase, Shikhar Dhawan once again failed tonight to prove his ability. But it was the captain who made sure that he took his team to the mark. David Warner outclassed the opposition with the bat and played an unbeaten match-winning innings of 90.
!
Finally Hyderabad get a win under their belt tonight in their own den. It was an outstanding performance by them overall. They bowled brilliantly to restrict Mumbai to a decent total which they could chase it with ease.
