The girl's name was Bella Bond, officials said. She was just 2 1/2 years old, the prosecutor said.
Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel F. Conley said the mother's boyfriend, Michael Patrick McCarthy will be charged with Bella's murder. The child's mother, Rachelle Bond, has been arrested for allegedly being an accessory after the fact. "This child, whose very name means beauty, was murdered," he said.
The girl's body was discovered June 25 in a trash bag on Deer Island in Massachusetts by a woman walking her dog. Authorities said they believe the child -- found wrapped in a blanket -- was placed there. Authorities at the time said that a cause of death could not be determined. An analysis of pollen on the girl's clothing indicated that she was likely from the Boston area.
Police released a computer-generated composite image of the girl this summer, prepared by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, to depict what she may have looked like.Police also released images of the leggings she was wearing when discovered, as well as the zebra-striped blanket found with her body.

The Texas teenager arrested for bringing a homemade digital clock to school after it was mistaken for a bomb says he would like his invention back from police, adding that he has no plans to let the incident stop his “passion” for inventing.

“This isn’t my first invention and it won’t be my last invention,” Ahmed Mohamed, 14, said today on “Good Morning American” from his home in Irving, Texas.

Ahmed, a freshman at MacArthur High School in Irving, Texas, was taken into police custody Monday when school officials and police mistook his invention for a bomb.
The teen described being unable to call his parents while he was interrogated by police after bringing the clock, which remains in police custody, to school to “impress” a teacher.
"She saw a clock that, in her opinion, looked like a threat to her," Ahmed said of the unnamed teacher. “It felt really weird getting arrested because I never thought I’d ever get arrested."
“I repeatedly told them, ‘It’s a clock,’ but no matter how much I told them, I guess that’s not a bold enough answer to them," he said of police. "I want it [the clock] back, with my humility."
Irving Police officials eventually released Ahmed and said at a news conference Wednesday that no charges will be brought against teenager for bringing a “suspicious device” to school.
The incident drew worldwide attention to the Muslim-American boy, who received an invitation to the White House from President Obama himself.
Ahmed also heard from Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, received invitations to intern at Twitter and join a Google science competition and inspired the hashtag #IStandWithAhmed, used by Hillary Clinton and celebrities like Russell Simmons.
“I was scared at the moment but now I feel really happy that I’m getting all this support from all over the world and the support isn’t just for me but it’s for everyone who’s been through this,” Ahmed said on “GMA.” “I wanted to have my teacher see that I want to be an engineer when I grow up, so I guess now I get millions of people watching me be an engineer.”
Ahmed was suspended from his high school for three days and has said he is considering transferring to a new school. In the meantime, he says he “will accept” the offer from President Obama to visit the White House, but was most excited, out of all the attention, to hear from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Answer for this question is starts with a mythical story,"It was Ganesh's birthday and he had been invited for dinner at a devotee's house. Ganesh had a very heavy meal and was returning home on his mouse, when a snake crossed their path. Seeing this, the mouse got very frightened and ran away, in the process felling Ganesh. Ganesh fell and his stomach, which was very full, burst open. Seeing this the moon burst out laughing. Ganesh felt very humiliated, so he killed the snake and tied it around his stomach. He then gave chase to the moon who ran for his life. The moon managed to evade Ganesh
It became very dark, as the moon refused to come out. This resulted in chaos on earth. The gods went and pled with Ganesh to free the moon. Ganesh finally relented and let the moon come out, but cursed him saying, " You hid in your house like a thief. Therefore, anybody who sees you on my birthday, will be implicated as a thief". This is the reason why we are not supposed to look at the moon on the auspices of Ganesh Chaturthi. This was also the reason why Shri Krishna was accused of stealing the Shymantaka gem".
