1. Sugar-Salt Scrub:

One of the best ways to "polish" skin is to use an exfoliator, once or twice a week. Typically, scrubs are made from sugar, salt and lotion (which keeps your skin moisturised as you exfoliate). Massage the granules of the scrubs slowly and gently over your skin.  These scrubs remove the dead cells without scratching or damaging your skin. Another advantage they have is that they are simple and easy to make. So reach into your kitchen for these clever and simple ingredients:
  • 2 cups sugar or salt (fine grain).
  • 1/2 cup almond or olive oil.
  • 1/4 cup honey.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla or a few drops of essential oil.
  • 1 jar.
  • Mix the ingredients well and store in a jar

2. Aloe Vera Pack:

Aloe Vera is universally known for its soothing and healing properties. It treats specific problems like acne, it reduces wrinkles and makes blemishes fade. It's also a great example of how to get smooth skin naturally. To create a simple, but effective, pack, pull out these ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon aloe vera.
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice.
  • 1 teaspoon honey.
Smooth this pack over your face and leave it for 15-20 minutes. This pack can be applied 3-4 times a week.

3. Lemon Honey Mask:

Lemon juice almost seems to be an elixir from the gods. It has several benefits for your skin's health. Not only does it cleanse your skin, it also lightens scars and spots and softens skin. Due to its astringent qualities, it is excellent for those with oily skin. For this simple and refreshing mask, keep these ingredients close at hand:
  • 1 bowl
  • 2 teaspoons flour
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon lemon
Stir the ingredients well and apply them liberally over your face and the parts of your body that feel dry. Leave it on for 30 minutes. Make sure you wash it off thoroughly with cold water. It's also important to note that lemon juice can be potent and can cause burns therefore, do not leave the mask on for longer than necessary. You can also use a little water to dilute the juice.
